Salary: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
The Quality Control Sampler is a full time, UNION, hourly position, hours are 8 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday plus overtime as required.
Job Summary:
As a Quality Control Sampler, you will be responsible for supporting QC sampling activity for active, inactive and packaging materials.
Responsibilities:
- Samples and inspects the raw materials & packaging components.
- Shrink Wrap the raw material skids after the sampling activity if required.
- Maintains QC quarantine cage to ensure all items are properly labelled and located.
- Maintains QC retain storage area to ensure retain samples are properly labelled and located.
- Assist QC Laboratory Systems Coordinators in conducting retain sample inspections.
- Handles disposal of laboratory waste.
- Handles archiving of completed laboratory notebooks and chromatograms.
- Assists in destruction process for expired laboratory/retain samples.
- Maintains cleanliness of sampling room, documents regular cleaning & maintains logbook of all room usage.
- Samples portable water for microbial outsource testing.
- Use forklifts to accomplish warehouse duties.
- Performs physical testing of packing components and related items.
- Works with warehouse personnel to properly maintain storage location and labelling of warehouse /QC cage items.
- Completing other duties as needed to be assigned by the QC Manager.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be able to read and write in English proficiently.
- Good handwriting.
- Excellent detail orientation skills,
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of applicable experience in pharmaceutical QC Sampling activity.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency (GED).
- Must display strong English reading, writing, and communication skills, exhibiting attention to detail.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, walk and move around for most of shift.
