Senior Legal Counsel to General Counsel

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Strategic partner and influential contributor to the executive team.
• Oversee all legal matters – strategic and operational – and advise the CEO, the senior management team, global headquarters and the Board accordingly.
• Ensure company compliance with applicable securities laws and regulations.
• Participate in the definition and development, as needed, of corporate policies, procedures and programs.
• Provides counsel and oversight for all litigation, selecting and supervising outside counsel, judging the merits of major litigation, and approving settlements of disputes if warranted.
• Act as a resource on the interpretation of existing or proposed laws and regulations that could impact the company.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and other third parties.
• Act as a key player in crisis management, providing legal guidance to protect the organization’s interests.

Must have Skills & Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, such as corporate, labor, anti-trust.
• Exceptional judgment for weighing inputs and evaluating potential courses of action.
• First-rate leadership skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic acumen and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced law degree, such as a Juris Doctor degree or equivalent, plus 5 to 7 years experience.
